Welcome to SRR Woof Academy & Stables LLC!

First, thank you for taking the time to get to know us at SRR. We are a locally owned business, serving Monroe County and surrounding areas. I originally started SRR after completing the Equine and Canine Massage program from Equissage in Round Hill, Va. Since I have completed further certification programs such as Animal Behavior College for dog training. I went on to manage a luxury doggie daycare and boarding facility for 10 years. When we moved to our forever home, I knew it was time for SRR to expand our services to offer horse and dog boarding.

I am very lucky to be sharing my dream with my wonderful husband, Brandon and our 3 boys. I couldn't do what I love without their support. SRR has now grown to a 16 acre farm that offers horse and dog boarding, as well as dog training. In addition to myself, you will see Brandon & my sister in law, Heather working at SRR. Brandon has taken over the maintenance department, there is alway more to do on the farm! Heather is our Academy Manager: handling customer interactions and facility caretaker.

Sharing your home with an animal can be a dream or a nightmare. Making sure your animal is well trained will give both of you more time to enjoy each other’s company. My modern training system is full of fun techniques that will give you and your pet a happier life together.

I believe that having a clear set of boundaries is one thing, but being forceful is just not necessary. I do not use choke collars, or believe that using a leash is the only way to teach an animal discipline. Dogs, and many other animals, are social animals, who enjoy love and family life. Let’s get them out of the dog house, give them more positive reinforcement, and turn them into another family member.

Academy Manager

Heather Desbrough

My name is Heather Desbrough I am currently an Academy Manager at SRR Woof Academy & Stables LLC as well as a Service Center Representative in the pediatrics department at IHA. I am a graduate of Dundee High School. I went on to study and obtain an associates degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Toledo. I have been married to my husband Eric for going on ten years, and together we have two wonderful boys. We reside in our hometown of Dundee.

Working at SRR has taught me a lot and has been such a wonderful learning experience to have Chelsea as my mentor. I have had the chance to meet some of the best pups, horses and families in just a short time. I can’t wait to continue to learn in this career as well as continue to grow relationships with lifelong clients as I move further into this role.

Brandon Desbrough

My name is Brandon Desbrough, husband to Chelsea and father to 3 wonderful boys we share in our blended family. I am a graduate from Dundee High School and United States Marine Corp.

I also work full time Wilder's Wells and Pump Service. I enjoy being handy at home with constant projects and usually taking breaks often to love on boarding dogs here on site! When I have downtime, you can usually find me with my boys or in the barn.
